RDM Projects in Switzerland

Funding by swissuniversities

A large number of RDM Projects are implemented through a national Action Plan based on the Swiss National Strategy for Open Research Data. Calls, applications and funds are managed by swissuniversities.

  • Funding Period 2021-2024: The first funding period resulted in projects in different action areas adressing data stewardship programs, RDM infrastructure and services, skills development and supportive conditions.
  • Funding Period 2025-2028: In the Programme Open Science II, swissuniversities continues to support ORD projects based on the Action Plan. 

Funding by the ETH domain

The ETH domain participates in the implementation of the national Strategy and Action Plan and coordinates its own ORD-related projects with the developments on a national level.

Funding by the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences

The Swiss Academies also distribute some funds that have to this point mainly been used to establish the Swiss National ORD Prize and discipline-specific codes of conduct for ORD.

In der Schweiz werden Projekte im Bereich Forschungsdatenmanagement auf nationaler Ebene durch Mittel der Schweizer Eidgenossenschaft gefördert, die von swissuniversities, der ETH-Domäne und den Akademien der Wissenschaften Schweiz verteilt werden.
